My deepest sympathies to the O’Connor family in this sad time. Rest in Peace, Chief. Ocean City will never be the same from now on, you will be missed there and everywhere else by the many you have befriended and guided along the way.February 28, 2019 at 10:31 pm in reply to: Death of Retired Battalion Chief Martin H. Catterton, BC-6 #4011
My condolences and sympathy to the Catterton family. Harry and I shared a locker at E14 way back in 1971 and I went to Fire School with Chuck. Our parents were life long friends from their younger days too. The entire family was a joy to be around and I will never forget Miss Marie, she was a wonderfully funny lady. Herb, Marie and Harry are reunited again, may you all Rest In Peace.December 5, 2018 at 9:46 am in reply to: Christmas Lunch Bunch at Desantis 12/3 at 1100 hrs #3911
Lunch was delish and we had a good crowd of 20 or so. Good to see the regulars and a few new faces. I will try to post with more notice next time I’m in town and we get together. Photo of the group is posted by Dave Franz on retirees email list.December 2, 2018 at 9:25 pm in reply to: Christmas Lunch Bunch at Desantis 12/3 at 1100 hrs #3898
Anybody out there anymore?
John is a true gentleman and was a joy to work for/with and will be in my prayers. Too many memories of the good old days to recount here, just know he was one of the best and made the job a fun career every day. God Bless John and his family.
I will always remember Dave’s smiling face. I miss him too! RIP Dave. And my best to you John, and wish his extended family the best of times in the future, He will be there with you forever in spirit.
John, We enjoyed ourselves immensely and look forward to getting together again soon when we get back to OC.
No need to apologize. I was sure it was my inability or lack of tech knowledge certainly not a criticism. I’ve been looking for a teenager to try to school me on this new type system, much like working a new cell phone Stuck out tongue winking eye Change is always difficult for us geezers to accept and adapt to quickly. I am proudly the original FOG and act like it more every day.. The posts will grow with time and we will all get better at the new system. Thanks for all your hard work. I applaud the positive changes, they were long overdue.
