Is it me or is this new site not populated yet with members, topics and replies? I don’t see much discussion or topics as of today when I got logged on with my password. Hope it gets better with time or email me with further instructions if it’s just operator error on my part (and it surely could be that). Thanks.
Missing the old forum ease of use but agree with and applaud the parameters of the new system. I always advocated for clearing house for posts some way before they were published and posted to the site, especially posts made anonymously or attacking other members or just embarrassing comments that reflected on the Union poorly.Mike,
I agree. I visited the site on Saturday and found that it was no longer there. I signed-in to the new one and it took sometime to navigate it and found no posts. What gives?
Sorry that the forum is empty. We cut over recently and everyone needs to be approved before posting. We want to keep all posts honest. Glad you are in and posting, hopefully we will fill up the forum again soon.

No need to apologize. I was sure it was my inability or lack of tech knowledge certainly not a criticism. I’ve been looking for a teenager to try to school me on this new type system, much like working a new cell phone Stuck out tongue winking eye Change is always difficult for us geezers to accept and adapt to quickly. I am proudly the original FOG and act like it more every day.. The posts will grow with time and we will all get better at the new system. Thanks for all your hard work. I applaud the positive changes, they were long overdue.The June 14th meeting will start at 1930 hours, The regular meal will be served.
The Baltimore City Retired Fire Officers & Fire Fighters Association meeting is at VFW Post 6506. It is Located at 8777 Philadelphia Road in Rosedale 21237.
The entrance we will be using is in the rear of the building. The sign on the door says entrance to small hall. Go through the doors an turn to the left to the big hall. There is a handicap ramp.
Directions, Exit 34, Route 7 off the Beltway going away from the city. Go about 1/2 mile the VFW is on the Right after Rossville Blvd.
Our Meetings are open to all Baltimore City Fire Department personnel active and retired. If not a member sign in as a guest! Entrance fee is still $5.00 unless a hot meal is served on special occasions, then its $10.00
I am still collecting old cell phones , The Marine Corps League gets calling cards for the military.

I’ve just approved several new members to the site. We now have 102 participants. Hopefully, we can get past the growing pains and get to sharing good info!Mike I finally got Some of this figured out but a long way to go yet. Baby steps for me. Enjoyed our visit with you and Kelly, Tim and Eleanor . Food was good also. Hope to see you back up soon.

I liked the old system better. To much new technology for me to handle. Hell, I still have a flip phone.
I have flip too Dan, kids think me a dinosaur but this will be nicer than prior and keep out riff raff and people using others names, I hope.

We are living up near Fenwick Island now near the family and will return to Florida in the winter if all goes well with Pat. Since her Heart valve replacement she wanted to be near family. Same weather here as a Florida summer already. Hot & more humid than Florida Glad to see you posting on the new site.John M
