Robert Everette Harmon
SEPTEMBER 21, 1922 – SEPTEMBER 16, 2018
Robert ( Jack ) Everette Harmon age 95 passed away peacefully on September 16, 2018 was at Morningside House of Friendship. Jack was born September 21, 1922 son of the late James Thomas and Lillie Bentley Harmon of Gaffney, SC. He was the youngest of 8 children. He previously lived in Baltimore, MD, Delta, PA, Cocoa, FL and settled at “Forest Lakes of Cocoa” with his beloved wife of 70 years Sarah June Richards Harmon.
He served in the Navy during WW ll
Retired from the Baltimore City Fire Department as Steam Engineer
He attended College to learn golfing, which he enjoyed playing. He was a Mason and still proudly wore their ring. He spent many hours fishing from the beach of Cocoa Florida.
In addition to his wife he is survived by son Robert James Harmon and daughter in law Kathy, grandchildren Christine Hennemuth, Dawn Williams (Robert), Kristina Camacho (Christopher), Melissa Smith (Carlyle), Edward Slomba ll (Tracy), 15 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is pre-deceased by his Sister Margaret Louise Buchanan, brothers Hammie, James, Maurice, Leland, H.B., and Shell. We wish to thank Hospice of the Chesapeake for the guidance and care given to Dad and us. A very warm and special thank you to their neighbor across the street in Florida “Marsha Plog” for all the love and attention given to dad and the many things she took care of for Dad and Mom.
