On this date 48 years ago today twenty men of different ages and backgrounds entered the Fire Academy. I’m not sure of the actual count of survivors but I want to congratulate all my classmates who are still enjoying retirement. It was a helluva ride and I wouldn’t have missed it for all the money in the world. I do miss most of you guys and most of the guys I served with over the many years. Seems like I retired yesterday and started our first day last week. Raise a glass tonight!
