***Pension Update from Bob Klausner***
A status conference was held with Judge Rubin and lawyers for both sides in the pension case. The purpose of the hearing was to finalize the notice to the class. The judge made some recommendations for edits and asked for a final version by December 2nd. The plan is to issue the notice to the class members by December 30th and the decision to opt out of the class will be due sixty days thereafter. Once the final class is known, the court will be able to issue a final judgment. Following that final judgment, both the Plaintiffs and the City will be able to appeal those portions of the final judgment with which they disagree. Once finalized, the class notice will be posted on a special website that will be set up for class members.
