    Details:

    James E. Catterton, Sr. 80, a 51 year resident of Glen Burnie and formerly of South Baltimore died on August 6, 2018 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

    He was born on July 31, 1938 in Baltimore, MD to the late Charles and Elizabeth Catterton.

    Mr. Catterton served honorably in the US Army.

    He served as a Baltimore City Fire Fighter from 1964 until his retirement as Captain in 1993.

    His hobbies included spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, classic country music, and cruising.

    He was a member of the Road Runners Travel Club.

    In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary E. Catterton.

    Mr. Catterton is survived by his sons William T. Catterton of Glen Burnie, James E. Catterton, Jr. of Glen Burnie, and Stephen K. Catterton of Atlanta, GA, his sister Ruth Catterton, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

    Friends may call on Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment Meadodwridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Baltimore City 734 Widows and Orphans Charity Benefit Fund 1202 Ridgely Street Baltimore, MD 21230.
