Court Case Comments by Steve Fugate, Retirees Association Vice president
Okay. I have read the City’s Post Trial Brief to the Court, my bp is under control (126/71) and I’m in a relatively good mental state, not afraid that my head is going to explode. It is all pretty much what I’ve heard and/or read over the last eight years aside from a now, kind of underscored “warning” of what might come of a “Union” Court win which is the closure of our current Plan to new entry and I have already outlined that in great, painful detail to be posted after the December 5th Oral Closing Arguments to the Court.
I am NOT accustomed to holding-back but I am also very much aware of how widely viewed my reports to our members has been and our attorneys have worked so very hard and well for us that I do not want to compromise their efforts to satisfy my personal want to be brutally honest.
So, (don’t you HATE when someone STARTS a sentence with “So”?!?!?!) this is it until sometime on Wednesday, December 5th. Already saved and in the “Trial” folder with instruction to “send” if I get hit by a bus between now and then.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to EVERYONE!!! I’m going to put this all behind me, at least for the day, because we ALL DO have much to be Thankful for. We do.
Steve
