    It is with much sadness that The Baltimore City Retired Fire Officers and Fire Fighters Association announces the passing of Lieutenant Joseph C. Wodarski.

    Fire Department Service 29 Years 15 Days
    On retirement 27 Years 10 Months 20 Days
    Retirees Association Member 24 Years 1 Month 20 Days
    Age 86 Years 1 Day

    WODARSKI, JOSEPH C.

    Joseph Charles Wodarski, born October 29, 1933, 86 years of age, suddenly passed away on October 29, 2019. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth May Wodarski and sister, Mary Lou Warfield. He is survived by his children, Mark S. Wodarski, Sr. and his wife, Patti and Mary Renee Rascona, his grandchildren, Melissa and Nick Bohn, Amanda and Herby Geary, Rachel Rascona, and Mark Steven Wodarski, his great-grandchilden, Jackson, Addison, Riley, and Ella, his sister, Margaret Poston, and a niece, Kathy Bradley. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

    Joseph worked various jobs throughout his career, and he was proud to have worked and retired from the Baltimore City Fire Department. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved dancing, music, fishing, and working in his yard. He was truly loved by many, and he will be missed dearly.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
