    It is with much sadness that the Baltimore City Retired Fire Officers and Fire Fighters Association announces the passing of Fire Fighter Melvin L. Lehrl, Engine 52.

    Fire Department Service 26 Years 2 Months 7 Days

    On Retirement 34 years 3 Months 23 Days

    Retirees Association Member 34 Years 1 Month 23 Days

    Age 91 Years 1 Month 17 Days

    Obituary

    Melvin L. Lehrl, of Lutherville, Maryland passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019. He was 91 years old. The beloved husband of the late Lois E. (nee Worrell) Lehrl for 68 years; devoted father of Linda M. Webb and her husband Donald and Leslie A. Fowler and her husband Ron; brother of the late William G. Lehrl, Esther V. Overton and Medford D. Lehrl; grandfather of Jamie Papas and her husband Alex, Julie Fowler and Jeffrey Fowler; great grandfather of Cheyanne and Cameron Papas. Also survived by son, Len Francesi and his wife Mary, grandfather of Jenna Stoller and her husband Andy, Vince Francesi and his wife Mira, and great-grandchildren, Crew, Ridge, Saylor and Piper Stoller.

    The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Rd., Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Monday, May 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14 beginning at 11 AM. Interment to follow in the Mays Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please remember Melvin with memorial contributions to the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, 12020 Greenspring Avenue, Owings Mills, Maryland 21117.
