    It is with much sadness that The Baltimore City Retired Fire Officers and Fire Fighters Association announces the passing of Lt. Barry L. Shipley Fire Communications

    Fire Department Service 20 Years 24 Days

    On Retirement 30 Years 1 Month 13 Days

    Retirees Association Member 5 years 19 Days

    Age 77 Years 5 Months 28 Days

    Date of Passing December 26, 2020

    Barry Lee Shipley
    June 29, 1943 – December 26, 2020

    Barry Shipley, age 77 of Bucklin, died Saturday, December 26, 2020 at his home. Barry was born Baltimore, Maryland on June 29, 1943 to Clarence and Mary Ellen (Walles) Shipley. He married Lynn Marie Short on February 14, 1991 at Grove, Oklahoma.

    Barry was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and had worked as a firefighter in Baltimore before retiring. He had been a Bucklin resident the past 13 years.

    He is survived by his wife Lynn Shipley of the home in Bucklin, two daughters, Kelly Ann Shipley and Sue Ellen Thompson both of Littlestown, PA; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Bobbie Marie in 2007.

    A memorials service will be announced later at Delaney Funeral Home in Bucklin.
